The authority on life’s hard lessons and sweet desserts

Denied!

Today Mr. Percival got a rejection letter from AHCCCS, which is Arizona’s free or low cost health insurance.  Reason for rejection: I made to much $!  $998 per month, for the past semester…under $12,000 per year!…I guess is not considered poor enough to get health coverage.  And I wasn’t even given the option to pay a little bit – an option that was listed on the application: “Would you be willing to pay for health insurance if you do not qualify for free insurance?”  I answered “yes” but was denied on that option too.  I knew that free health insurance would’ve been too good a thing to be true (in this country we call America).  Weird.  I guess the cutoff is 867 bucks per month – you need to be making less than that.  Fuck it, I just got a full time framing job and the boss is talented and laid back, so I shouldn’t be complaining…although he can’t afford to give me health insurance since it’s just a small framing company.  America is RE-GODDAMN-DICK!ULOUS when it comes to health care.  AMERICAN HEALTH COVERAGE FAIL!
